Pageva Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Numan Haktan Kartal ("Pageva," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Pageva: Convert PDF to Word (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Apple terms

Pageva is licensed through Apple's App Store, not sold. Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) and applicable Apple Media Services terms. These Terms supplement the Standard EULA. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms for your App Store purchase or license, the applicable Apple terms control to the extent of the conflict.

These Terms are between you and Pageva, not Apple. Pageva, not Apple, is responsible for the App and its content, maintenance and support to the extent required by law, and claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-related provisions against you.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use. You may not use the App if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules, including applicable Family Sharing or volume-purchase rules.

Except where applicable law expressly allows it, you may not:

4. Your documents

You retain all rights you hold in the documents you select and outputs you create. Pageva does not claim ownership of your documents. Because document conversion is performed on your device, you do not grant us a license to store or use the contents of your documents.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to process each document with the App. You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, security, and appropriate handling of your documents, including confidential, copyrighted, regulated, or personal information they may contain. Do not use Pageva to infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights.

If you import a file by entering a web address, you represent that you are permitted to download and process that file. The App connects from your device directly to the address you enter and downloads the file to your device; it does not verify anything about the file beyond confirming that it is a readable PDF, and it does not upload the file anywhere.

Passwords you enter to open a protected PDF, or to protect a copy the App creates for you, are used on your device only and are not stored or transmitted by us. We cannot recover a lost password or unlock a file on your behalf.

5. Conversion results

Document conversion is inherently imperfect. Fonts, tables, columns, images, forms, annotations, scanned pages, reading order, or complex layouts may change or may not be converted accurately. Pageva may offer different output modes, but no mode guarantees an exact, error-free, complete, or editable result.

You must review every output before relying on, editing, publishing, signing, submitting, or sharing it. Pageva is not a substitute for professional, legal, financial, medical, accessibility, archival, or records-management review. Keep an independent backup of important source documents. We are not responsible for changes made by your device, storage provider, Microsoft Word, or another third-party app after export.

6. Pageva Pro subscriptions

Pageva may offer automatically renewing weekly and annual Pageva Pro subscriptions. The exact price, currency, billing period, included features, and any offer or trial are shown in the App Store purchase interface before you confirm a purchase. Prices may vary by country and may change as permitted by Apple and applicable law.

By confirming a subscription purchase:

You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your Apple device or through another method Apple provides. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current paid period unless Apple or applicable law states otherwise. Deleting Pageva does not cancel a subscription.

Purchases and refunds are processed by Apple. Refund eligibility is determined by Apple under its policies and applicable consumer law. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Use the App's Restore control to restore an eligible purchase made with the same Apple Account.

If a free trial or promotional offer is displayed, its duration, eligibility, conversion price, and renewal terms will be shown before purchase. Unless the purchase interface says otherwise, cancel before the trial or promotional period ends to avoid renewal charges.

7. Free features and changes

We may offer a free usage allowance or features without charge. Free limits, features, and availability may change prospectively. We may add, remove, improve, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for product, security, legal, or operational reasons. Changes do not override rights you already have under an active subscription, Apple's rules, or mandatory law.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use Pageva. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Third-party services

Pageva relies on Apple for distribution and payment processing and on specialized service providers for subscription validation and entitlement management. You may also choose independent storage or editing providers through Apple's system interfaces. Those third parties have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third party's service, content, availability, or handling of information, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, graphics, branding, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. “Pageva” and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without prior written permission.

If you believe material in the App infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property right, contact us with enough information to identify the work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact details, and the basis for your claim.

11. Feedback

If you voluntarily send ideas or suggestions about Pageva, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation. This section does not give us rights in your documents or support attachments unrelated to feedback.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the App, or create a security or legal risk. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure unless immediate action is necessary. Termination does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; you must cancel through Apple.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including document responsibility, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute provisions, and this sentence—will survive.

13. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAGEVA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PAGEVA WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY DOCUMENT OR THIRD-PARTY APP, OR THAT CONVERSION OUTPUT WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAGEVA AND ITS LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND REPRESENTATIVES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, DOCUMENTS, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGE IS POSSIBLE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR PAGEVA DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$50.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including any liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law prohibits limitation. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pageva and its representatives from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the App, your infringement of another person's rights, or your material breach of these Terms. This section does not require indemnification for our own negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to them or to the App are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply a different body of law.

If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before the consumer arbitration committee (tüketici hakem heyeti) or consumer court with jurisdiction where you live, including under Turkish Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection. For all other users, the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Türkiye have jurisdiction.

Regardless of the chosen law and forum, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections or the right to bring a claim in a forum that applicable law requires to remain available. Before filing a formal claim, you and Pageva agree to make a good-faith attempt to resolve the dispute by written notice, unless urgent relief or applicable law makes informal resolution inappropriate.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms prospectively to reflect changes to Pageva, our business, or applicable law. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law. Material changes will not retroactively reduce rights already accrued. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

18. General

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of the App or related assets, subject to applicable law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable Apple terms form the entire agreement regarding Pageva.
