Pageva Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 27, 2026
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Pageva: Convert PDF to Word ("Pageva," the "App") is provided by Numan Haktan Kartal ("Pageva," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Pageva, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.
1. Privacy at a glance
- Your PDF and Word documents are processed on your device. We do not receive, upload, or store their contents on our servers.
- If you import a file from a web address, your device downloads it directly from that address. It is not uploaded to us, and we do not receive the address.
- Passwords you type to open or protect a PDF are used on your device only and are never stored or transmitted.
- You do not need to create a Pageva account.
- Pageva does not contain third-party advertising and does not track you across apps or websites.
- Apple processes App Store purchases. A specialized subscription service provider helps us validate purchases and determine whether Pageva Pro is active.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
2. Information processed by Pageva
Documents you choose
Pageva accesses only a document that you deliberately select through Apple's system file picker. The selected document and any converted output are processed locally on your device. We do not receive the document, its contents, or the converted output on our servers.
Your files may still be stored by a storage provider you chose independently, such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, or another provider exposed through Apple's Files interface. That provider's handling of your files is governed by its own privacy policy. Pageva does not connect directly to those accounts and does not receive their login credentials.
Documents you import from a web address
If you enter a web address, Pageva connects from your device directly to that address over an encrypted HTTPS connection and downloads the file to your device. Pageva does not route the request through any server of ours, and neither the address you enter nor the file it returns is sent to us. The website or service you point Pageva at receives that request the same way it receives any other download from your device, including your IP address, and its handling of the request is governed by its own policies. The downloaded file is converted on your device like any other document and is not uploaded anywhere.
Passwords you enter
If you open a password-protected PDF, or ask Pageva to create a password-protected copy of one, the password is used on your device and only for as long as that operation takes. Pageva does not store it, does not send it anywhere, and does not include it in any diagnostic information. Apart from the encryption of the copy you asked for, no record of the password is kept, so a lost password to a protected copy cannot be recovered by us.
Settings stored on your device
Pageva stores limited preferences locally, such as whether onboarding has been completed and your preferred output mode. These settings are used only to operate the App. You can remove them by deleting the App from your device.
Purchase and subscription information
If you view, purchase, or restore Pageva Pro, Apple and service providers acting on our behalf process information needed to provide and verify the subscription. Depending on the transaction and device environment, this may include:
- the subscription product, purchase status, transaction or receipt information, renewal and expiration status;
- an automatically generated anonymous app or subscription identifier;
- app version, platform, operating-system version, storefront, locale, and currency; and
- technical request information such as an IP address that service providers ordinarily receive when a device communicates with their systems.
We use this information to display available plans, validate purchases, prevent fraud, restore access, provide Pageva Pro features, and understand aggregate subscription performance. Pageva does not provide its subscription service providers with your name, email address, advertising identifier, document contents, or a custom account identifier.
Apple processes your payment and Apple Account information under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your complete payment card or banking details.
Communications with us
If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and attachments. Please do not send confidential documents or document contents in a support request unless we specifically ask for information necessary to investigate an issue and you are comfortable providing it.
3. How we use information
We use the limited information described above to:
- operate and maintain Pageva;
- provide, validate, and restore Pageva Pro;
- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests;
- secure the App, prevent fraud, and diagnose purchase-related problems;
- understand aggregate subscription performance, including how far readers get through the app's setup screens and the Pageva Pro offer (for example, the last setup page reached, how many times the offer was shown and from where, and which plan was chosen). This is sent to our subscription service provider without your name or any document content; and
- comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.
Where the laws of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction apply, the legal bases for this processing are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Pageva, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where the law requires it.
Pageva is operated from the Republic of Türkiye. Where Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data applies, we rely on the corresponding grounds in that law, including that processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, necessary for our legitimate interests without prejudicing your fundamental rights and freedoms, and explicit consent where the law requires it.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose information only as follows:
- Apple: to process App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and related platform services.
- Subscription service providers: to validate purchases, manage subscription entitlements, prevent purchase fraud, and provide aggregate subscription analytics.
- Legal and safety disclosures: when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements.
- Business transfers: if Pageva or its assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law and the protections described in this Policy.
We require service providers that receive personal information from Pageva to process it only for the services we request and to provide the same or an equivalent level of protection described in this Policy. We do not authorize Apple or our subscription service providers to access your document contents through Pageva. We do not sell personal information, rent it, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use personal information for third-party advertising.
5. Retention
- Documents: We do not receive or retain your documents on our servers. Files and exports remain under your control on your device or in the storage location you select. A file downloaded from a web address you enter is written to your device's temporary storage and removed once the conversion finishes or is cancelled.
- Passwords: We do not retain passwords you enter to open or protect a PDF. They exist only in the App's memory while the operation runs.
- Local settings: They remain on your device until you change them, reset the App, or delete the App.
- Subscription information: Apple and our subscription service providers retain transaction and subscription records according to their policies and legal obligations. We retain access to subscription records only for as long as reasonably needed to provide Pageva Pro, maintain financial and fraud-prevention records, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
- Support communications: We retain them only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
We may retain information longer when required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or needed to prevent fraud and abuse.
6. International data transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, including the United States. Where required, we and our providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards.
7. Security
Pageva's local document processing reduces the need to transmit sensitive files. We and our providers use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No device, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, Apple Account, and any storage provider you choose.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to appeal or complain to a privacy regulator.
Because Pageva does not require an account and uses anonymous identifiers for subscription management, we may need information such as an anonymous subscription identifier or Apple transaction details to locate a purchase record. We will use request information only to verify and respond to the request. We may decline or limit a request where permitted by law, including when we cannot reasonably verify it or when an exception applies.
You can also:
- delete local Pageva settings and files by deleting them from their storage location or removing the App;
- manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings; and
- request an App Store refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
9. United States state privacy notice
For purposes of U.S. state privacy laws, the categories of personal information we may process are identifiers (such as an anonymous App User ID and IP address), commercial information (such as subscription and purchase history), device and app information, and information you submit in a support request. We use and disclose these categories for the business purposes described in Sections 3 and 4.
We do not sell these categories of personal information and do not share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so during the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Residents of states that provide privacy rights may submit a request using the contact information below. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.
10. Children
Pageva is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to Pageva, our providers, or applicable law. We will change the "Last updated" date and provide any additional notice required by law. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will request consent where required.
12. Contact us
For support or privacy requests, contact:

Email is the contact channel for Pageva. We will respond to privacy requests sent to that address.
If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live or work. In the Republic of Türkiye, you may apply to us first and then complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu) under Law No. 6698.
